Its good to know that Bellingham, WA has earned the designation of the siver status when it comes to being Bicycle Friendly. The League of American Bicyclists have had more then 210 communities applying for the “BFC” which stands for Bicyclist Friendly Community and has currently 89 communities holding the silver status or higher. The BFC is factored by the 5 E’s: Engineering, Education, Encouragement, Enforcement and Evaluation. Personally I would bet we here in Bellingham would be Gold if the weather was a lot nicer. jk maybe? Way to go Bellingham.
